Materials Associate - Shipping

Job Description/Functions:​​

EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a Materials Associate specializing in shipping to join our team in our Leesburg, VA location! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.

The position of Materials Associate – Shipping prepares all completed products with proper packaging/boxing for shipment as well as all shipping documentation and labels for both domestic and international shipments.

• Package, ship, and invoice finished products

• Maintain accurate inventory levels of finished products

• Generate tracking reports as requested for delivery confirmation

• Manage inventory of packing supplies and re-order as needed

• Crosstrain within the Materials Department for relief support as needed

Qualifications and Experience:​​

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

• Experience with computer-controlled inventory and electronic components, required

• Experience in domestic and overseas shipping and packaging environment, required 

• Experience with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) used for international shipping, preferred

• Strong attention to details

• Good communicator

• Able to lift 40 pounds

• Will be required to obtain forklift certification

Working Conditions:​

• Shipping environment

• 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off

• Overtime is expected when necessary
